Ryan Roberts has become the poster boy for taking advantage of opportunity. Given a chance at extended playing time when second baseman Felipe Lopez suffered a hamstring injury in Oakland on May 23, Roberts has made six starts and played in nine of the 10 games since while hitting safely in eight, including a career-high six-game hitting streak. Roberts is hitting .375 in those 10 games, and has been even better since a pinch-double May 9, hitting .438 in 48 at-bats.
