Doug Davis got his first victory in a month and the Arizona Diamondbacks matched their season-best four-game winning streak by beating the San Diego Padres 4-3 on Tuesday night. Davis, who had allowed just two earned runs in his previous three starts but left each with a no-decision, scattered nine hits, allowing two runs in 6 1-3 innings. It was the left-hander's first victory since beating San Diego 8-0 on June 5. Davis (4-8) was 0-2 in five starts since then.
