Cruz day-to-day with fractured finger By ANTHONY ANDRO ARLINGTON — The struggling Texas offense got some bad news Sunday night when it was revealed that All-Star outfielder Nelson Cruz has a small fracture in his right ring finger.Cruz was originally in the starting lineup, but was a late scratch and replaced by David Murphy.He injured the finger Saturday in the ninth inning as he dived to first on a base hit. An exam Sunday revealed the fracture, which isn’t considered serious. Cruz is listed as day-to-day and could be back in the lineup tonight.If the injury hampers him, its another blow for the offense. He’s been one of the team’s hottest hitters.
