Questions surround Tony Romo, but not the ones some are asking
JENNIFER FLOYD ENGEL I heard national four-lettered radio Wednesday discussing why Cowboys QB Tony Romo had heave-ho’d Jessica Simpson, a lengthy theory on why chicks pushing for marriage in Year 3 usually end up dumped. It should be required listening for any of y’all thinking of throwing down an ultimatum, or considering making attendance mandatory at your next Barbie- and Ken-themed birthday bash. What I do not understand is why this is considered legit sports discussion, based on a National Enquirer report, mind you, while a civil suit alleging sexual assault against one of the biggest names in the NFL is not. But that was their stance. In fact, ESPN had issued a 'do-not-report' edict on any and all Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger talk. They lifted that late Wednesday, going against their original reasoning that they do not report civil suits.Never mind.Once that was debunked as so very not true, spin switched to ESPN as gatekeeper of integrity. AL Central Roundtable Part 1
More photos » by David Kohl - AP The Man. The Myth. The Better Than The Legend. (AP Photo/David Kohl) Browse more photos » A few of the SB Nation bloggers in the AL Central, chatted over email with Sky Kalkman of Beyond the Boxscore, who served as moderator. Sky Kalkman (Moderator): Which teams, under which circumstances, will be buyers over the next three weeks? How about sellers? If there are any undecideds, what will be the tipping point? colintj(SSS): Great question, Sky. And let me just say what an honor it is to sit in with all these knowledgeable bloggers. We Sox fans would be totally lost without the guiding light of these heavyweights. Without stepping on the toes of any other roundtablers, it seems clear to me that the Sox are perhaps the only team likely to make a real splash. The Tigers may well be in a financial bind and have already sold off their farm talent for major leaguers. And Dontrelle Willis. The

Rules School: John Garrity attends USGA`s intensive course on Rules of Golf
Rule 35-4: False Pretenses. A writer has enrolled in a four-day Rules of Golf Workshop under "false pretenses" when he takes his seat for the opening session without paying the $250 registration fee and subsequently produces notes, diagrams or other ephemera with no intention of taking the advanced Rules of Golf examination.Don't give me that look. First of all, that's a made-up rule. Second, my 83 straight-arrow classmates will tell you that I stood up on Day One and identified myself as a golf scribe on assignment. Third, when asked if I was taking the 100-question exam, I always answered with a horrified 'No!'
