Public tour of Cowboy Stadium in early August
By SUSAN SCHROCK ARLINGTON – Arlington residents can get a free sneak peak of the new $1.15 billion Cowboys Stadium during an open house next month.The event for Arlington residents is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Aug 9, Mayor Robert Cluck announced Friday from the stadium’s west end zone plaza.Residents proving proof of an Arlington address, such as driver license or utility bill, can get an upclose look at features at the state-of-the-art stadium, such as the lower bowl seats near the field and the $40 million video board.'We owe a debt of gratitude to the citizens who voted to help finance the stadium,' Cluck said. 'They will be able to see what they helped build.'Thousands of residents are expected to show up for the self-guided tours. Parking will be free.'We have a feeling it will be a lot of people.
