The Sports Xchange reports despite being twice rejected by Dany Heatley, the Oilers still haven't given up trying to acquire the Ottawa sniper. Edmonton originally offered Dustin Penner, Andrew Cogliano and Ladislav Smid, but the Senators' asking price went up when Ottawa had to pay Heatley a $4 million advance on his $8 million salary on July 1. Even though he'll have to pony up more, or take one of Ottawa's unwanted contracts back in the deal, Edmonton general manager Steve Tambellini said he is still very interested in making a deal with the Senators. 'We'll see where it goes,' he said. 'We're just trying to find ways to make our hockey club better.'
