James Lawton: Rugby must banish the bullying and skulduggery before 2015
One thing needs to be said right away. Nowhere in the length and the breadth of English rugby union is there a better qualified spokesman for the 2015 World Cup than Will Greenwood, the tall and rangy and at times brilliantly innovative centre who played a key role in landing the trophy in australia six years ago.

With a handful of players huddled over laptops and others receiving updates from staff members, the Rockies practically knew Joe Beimel was a Rockie before he did.

RYAN GUETTLER WINS THE ASA BIG AIR BMX TRIPLES AT THE OC SUPER FAIR
Before a raucous SoCal crowd, Ryan Guettler (Queensland, Australia), stood atop the podium in the Action Sports Arena at the Orange County Super Fair as the winner of ASA Entertainment’s 2009 Big Air BMX Triples presented by BFD.com (ASA BMX Triples). It’s the second ASA BMX Triples title Guettler has won this year on the ASA Action Sports World Tour, having placed first at the Minneapolis, Minn. tour stop in April. Guettler’s the only man to hold two ASA BMX Triples titles and he certainly hopes it won’t be his last.

No Britt as Titans open training camp
Coach Jeff Fisher had hoped the Tennessee Titans would have their top draft pick on the field for the first practice of training camp. Friday there was no Kenny Britt in sight. Fisher now is hoping to have the receiver around Saturday. 'It looks like things have fallen into place around him, so I'm optimistic. Before practice I visited with (general manager) Mike (Reinfeldt), and he felt like things were moving so I'd say we've got a decent chance of having him out here tomorrow,' Fisher said.

Stewart, Gordon among Pocono favs
Weren't we just here? This weekend the Sprint Cup series makes a trip to Pocono for the second time in as many months. And in a serious case of déjà vu, qualifying was once again rained out, putting point leader and winner of last month's race at Pocono Tony Stewart once again on the pole. The way Stewart is running lately, if you've got him - use him, I'm not going to waste a slot below telling you that. Again pit strategy and fuel mileage will be key at Pocono. Drivers, and yes I'm talking to you Juan Pablo Montoya, will have to be mindful of their speed on the long pit road and crew chiefs will have to be on top of their game calculating fuel mileage down to the last drop.

Trimmer Ray Lewis remains key figure in Ravens `D`
Down 15 pounds from his playing weight of a year ago, Ray Lewis enters his 14th season with the Baltimore Ravens unequivocally certain he's never been better than he is right now. Another rigorous offseason training regimen enabled the 34-year-old middle linebacker to breeze through the team's first full training camp practice Friday. Lewis signed a seven-year contract last March, and the 10-time Pro Bowler talks as if he intends to keep playing until the deal expires.

Eagles have super hopes on first day of camp
Donovan McNabb took a knee next to Brian Westbrook on the sideline and watched the end of practice while enthusiastic fans shouted praise from just a few yards away. 'Hey Donny, this is our year,' one man yelled. 'We gotta win it all, baby! You hear me?' Expectations are high - as usual - for the Philadelphia Eagles this season. Fans are counting on McNabb and Westbrook to deliver that elusive Super Bowl title.
