Owens has two catches on lone drive
Kerry Collins was sharp and Vince Young tentative for the Tennessee Titans in overshadowing Terrell Owens' debut for the Buffalo Bills. With a little trickery and a solid performance by the Collins-led starting offense, Tennessee opened the preseason with a 21-18 win in the Hall of Fame game on Sunday night. The Bills were sluggish and looked nothing like the better-prepared team, considering Buffalo opened training camp two weeks ago -- a week ahead of the Titans. The only offensive highlights were provided by Owens, who signed a one-year $6.5 million contract with Buffalo in early March, days after being released by Dallas. On the field for only one series, Owens had two catches for 27 yards, including a 16-yarder on the second play from scrimmage. Trent Edwards hit Owens in perfect stride on a slant, and the receiver had the opportunity to score if not for a perfect tackle by cornerback Cortland Finnegan.

Division subtraction
The White Sox lost a home series Sunday for only the first time in two months, but that didn't seem to mitigate the dejected clubhouse mood after an 8-4 defeat to the Cleveland Indians at U.S. Cellular Field. ''We have to play good against our division,'' reliever Scott Linebrink said, reflecting on his own bad day, which consisted of three earned runs in 1 1/3 innings.

About 30,000 turn out for Cowboys Stadium open house
By SUSAN SCHROCK ARLINGTON — Cowboys fans Brad Rodgers and Mike Jones got a close look Sunday at the stadium they helped bring to the city. The friends from southwest Arlington said they voted five years ago in the successful referendum that called on the city to help finance the stadium. They wanted not only to bring the football team to Arlington but also to bring prosperity and recognition to the city. On Sunday, sitting in the blue-cushioned seats above the field, the men said they have no doubt that the $1.15 billion stadium will be a boon for Arlington and the region.'People from all over the world will come here,' Rodgers said. 'There doesn’t even have to be a game. People are going to make Arlington a destination just to see the stadium.'Rodgers and Jones were among an estimated 30,000 residents who visited Cowboys Stadium during a free open house Sunday. During the self-guided tours, residents checked out the seats, pro shop and concession stands, and snapped photo

Rockies are likely wild card Colorado will finish the season with 33 of its final 54 games at Coors Field. BASEBALL
The Colorado Rockies began the weekend one game behind San Francisco in the wild-card race in the National League, but it would not be at all surprising if the Rockies overtook the Giants and staved off potential challengers Chicago, the Cardinals , Atlanta and Florida. The main reason is that the Rockies already have played 60 of their 81 road games and have 33 of their last 54 scheduled for Coors Field.
