He also had six steals. 'I thought the difference was Curry,' Warriors coach Don Nelson said. 'We started to move the ball better and push the ball. He got his shot back a little bit and that was good to see as well.' Curry noticed a difference too. 'My main focus is to push the tempo with my fresh legs when I'm coming off the bench,' he said. 'As a result I found myself in the lane a lot more tonight in being able to make cross-court passes to guys when they see me driving.' CBS NewsWilcox gets decent numbers in start Pistons C Chris Wilcox got a start Thursday in a preseason game against the Timberwolves with Kwame Brown out with a hand injury. He had 10 points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes. CBS NewsNocioni breaks out with 19 points Kings SF Andres Nocioni, who had gotten off to a slow start this preseason, broke out with a team-high 19 points in 26 minutes off the bench Thursday at Oklahoma City. He also had five rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block, shooting 7 for 14 from the field and 3 for 7 from 3-point range. 'It was nice to see Nocioni break out like that. We all know he's a really good player, but he's kind of had a slow start in training camp,' Kings coach Paul Westphal said. 'That was a big thing.' CBS NewsCasspi gets enough minutes to shine Kings rookie SF Omri Casspi, who broke through with 22 points in his last preseason game, got a chance to start Wednesday at Oklahoma City. He finished with 17 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals in 28 minutes. 'Casspi just keeps making steps every game to prove that he belongs on the court. When you have a player who keeps playing like that, he's an easy guy to put in the game,' coach Paul Westphal said. CBS News |
