Following on the success of its first Eee PCs, Asustek computer says the next generation of the devices will include multitouch trackpads and larger screens.

The next generation Eee PC laptop by Asustek computer will come with a multi-touch trackpad in addition to the larger screen, better Web cam and increased data storage, a company representative said Thursday.

Amit Agarwal writes 'Adobe today launched a basic version of Adobe Photoshop available for free online. Photoshop Express will be completely Web-based so consumers can use it with any type of computer, operating system and browser. According to Yahoo! News, Adobe says providing Photoshop Express for free is part marketing and part a strategy to create up-sell opportunities. I'm going to upgrade my computers MB and cpu. I already have the MB I'll be using but I'm trying to figure out what cpu I should purchase to get the most bang from my small bucks.

The web has been abuzz the past two days with the 'news' that it was supposedly illegal to run Safari for Windows on anything but an Apple-branded computer. It was obviously a mistake, so I decided to run no story on it. Now, however, it has specifically been fixed by Apple; Ars decided to phone Apple PR, and they fixed the issue. The WebKit guys also offer a fix for the 'fuzzy fonts' issue on Safari for Windows.
