Developing with jQuery in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008
Microsoft is fully supporting jQuery, the open-source JavaScript library, in Visual Studio 2008. Though jQuery has been popular with Web developers for two years, microsoft until now has not given it full support. Now, with the help of IntelliSense, writing jQuery code in Visual Studio just got a lot easier. - JQuery is an open-source JavaScript library that simplifies the coding and manipulation of HTML element on a Web page. Without jQuery, developers can still access all the elements in the DOM (Document Object Model), but jQuery makes it much quicker and easier.jQuery initially was created in early ...

Playstation Home Beta Opens To the Public
Yesterday Sony launched the open beta for Playstation Home, the virtual world designed for Playstation network community members. Eurogamer has an in-depth look at the features of Home. They point out some glaring weaknesses, such as a poor communication system, a flawed business model, and the inability to form groups without entering games, something the recently revamped Xbox interface does better. 'It's not alienating, it's easy to identify with, and the socialising and advertising are entirely in context. But you're left pondering the inevitable question: why would you want to spend any time here?' Home's debut to the public saw a few typical launch-day problems, but Sony was quick to address them and get things back on track. Gizmodo has some screenshots and basic information available. of this story at Slashdot.

Mac Bloggers Muse on a Macworld Without a Mac Maker
It's been a wild ride this week in the Apple-focused blogging world, thanks to Apple's bombshell statement that CEO Steve Jobs would not be giving his usual wildly anticipated keynote address at Macworld in January. In addition, after 2009's show, Apple itself will make no more appearances. All Apple did was put out a dinky little press release, and boom, the blog traffic erupted in a hot rain of speculation.
