Child Online Protection Act Appeal Rejected
TarrVetus writes 'The Associated Press reports that a federal appeals court in Philadelphia has ruled that the Child Online Protection Act will not be revived, upholding a 2007 decision that the unimplemented 1998 law is unconstitutional. The law, which made it a crime for websites to allow children access to 'harmful' material, was declared a violation of the First Amendment because of existing elective filtering technologies and parental controls that are less restrictive to free speech than the 'ineffective' and 'overly broad' ban.' of this story at Slashdot.

Google abandons Print Ads newspaper ad sales service after disappointing results
Google is to shut down its scheme to sell advertising space on behalf of newspapers and magazines, after disappointing results. The search engine announced on Tuesday that it was closing Print Ads, which launched almost three years ago aimed at revolutionising newspaper and magazine advertising in the same way Google changed online ads.'While we hoped that Print Ads would create a new revenue stream for newspapers and produce more relevant advertising for consumers. Feedzilla is a news aggregator which categorizes news stories by topic. It is a platform where webmasters and bloggers can find an unmatched selection of easy to use, automatically updating and professional news widgets for their sites. Feedzilla supports the building of widgets in various formats, as well as allowing the addition of news widgets to different blogging platforms and social networks.

Feedzilla manually aggregates news summaries found in RSS feeds, and redistributes them in either RSS format or as a news widget. Content is collected 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from an ever-growing list of providers.
