Vodafone Portugal launches digital TV service (Telecompaper) Vodafone Portugal has launched a digital tv service for home users called Vodafone Casa TV. Over 100 TV channels are included in the offer, including 8 High Definition channels (including Sport TV HD, Eurosport HD, National Geographic HD and Disney Cinemagic HD). The service features Dolby Surround sound, a DVR with 280 hours of recording capacity, EPG and VOD. Vodafone Casa TV is available exclusively to ADSL subscribers, before being made available to the entire market from September. Associated with the launch is a promotion enabling Vodafone Portugal's ADSL customers, without any subscription charge, to make free, unlimited use of the Vodafone Casa TV basic service until the end of the year.
