AT&T revenues drop slightly, net profit down 18%
(Telecompaper) AT&T reports USD 30.7 billion in revenues for the second quarter of this year, compared with USD 30.9 billion in the second quarter of 2008, as growth in mobile and advanced fixed line data services in large part offset pressures from the macro-environment, including revenue declines in voice and legacy data products. Compared with results for the year-earlier quarter, AT&T's operating expenses for the second quarter of 2009 were USD 25.2 billion versus USD 24.3 billion leading to an operating profit of USD 5.5 billion versus USD 6.6 billion; and AT&T's operating income margin was 17.9 percent, compared with 21.3 percent. At the same time, AT&T's net profit decreased by 18 percent to USD 3.2 billion and the earnings per diluted share totalled USD 0.54, compared with USD 0.63 in the second quarter of 2008. Feedzilla is a news aggregator which categorizes news stories by topic. It is a platform where webmasters and bloggers can find an unmatched selection of easy to use, automatically updating and professional news widgets for their sites. Feedzilla supports the building of widgets in various formats, as well as allowing the addition of news widgets to different blogging platforms and social networks.
